Sylvie Gould was born in Paris, France. She emigrated to the United States in 1967 where she met and married her English husband, Gerald. She has always loved fans and has been collecting them for over thirty years. Her vast collection ranges from the early 18th century to the 20th century consisting of select fans from Europe and Asia. She is a member of the Fan Association of North America (FANA), the British Fan Circle International (FCI) and the French Cercle de l’Eventail (CE).

Since Sylvie's roots are French, it is appropriate to exhibit some of her French Connection fans. The fans she selected begin with the 18th century and end with the mid 20th century. We hope that you will enjoy the fans as much as she enjoyed showing them.
